The XS range is an offer of inductive proximity sensors for the detection of metal objects up to 60mm without physical contact. The oscillator produces an alternating electromagnetic field that exits the detection area of the sensor. Any metallic object penetrating this field is then detected. This general purpose threaded cylindrical (M18) inductive proximity sensor is made of metal and it is flush mountable. Its nominal sensing distance is 10mm, it supports 1 normally open PNP discrete output and it has a switching frequency of 1000Hz. It works in a temperature range of -25°C and +50°C, it is dustproof, waterproof up to 1m for 30min (IP67), and withstands high pressure and steam cleaning (IP69K). It is made of metal. It measures 39mm (length) x 12mm (diameter) and weighs 0.04kg. It is suitable for railway, mobile equipment, lifts and escalators, hoisting, material handling, machine tools, packaging, food and beverage industries, and robotics.
